CATHOLIC RADIO AND TELEVISION

Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age."  Matthew 28:19-20.  (Source) http://www.usccb.org/nab/bible/.

CONCORDIA MINISTRIES, INC.

The first project of this ministry was to begin the process of establishing a Catholic radio station.  An application with the FCC was filed and is pending.  The mission of the radio project is to communicate Christian truth as expressed in sacred Scripture, sacred Tradition and in accord with the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church.  In achieving that mission, programming is to communicate the truth, foster charity, defend justice, spread joy and confirm that peace which Christ the Lord brings among all people

Beginning in January, 2004, Concordia Ministries, Inc., working with the Diocese of Biloxi in Mississippi, brought one hour of Catholic radio to the Laurel, Bay Springs, Hattiesburg listening area. The first programming was a series by Scott Hahn which aired on Sunday mornings on WMXI, 98.1 F.M.

Concordia also has sponsored other air-time for programs on WMXI, including an eleven-week series, "The Catechism Explained," in English, and a 50-week Spanish series, "Los Ermitanos Eucaristicos del Padre Celestial:  Complaciendo a nuestro papa del cielo."  The Spanish program is dedicated to the most important themes and elements of Christian life (family, society, and the Church).  Both programs are produced by EWTN.

Plans are to continue bringing similar programming as may be suggested by the Diocese.

Donations to Concordia Ministries, Inc., to sponsor similar programming and to support our evangelization efforts, including the costs of this website and other projects, will be appreciated.  Please mail to P. O. Box 1054, Pearlington, Mississippi 39572, or click "Make a Donation" button below to use your Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover.
